Here’s Tim enjoying a light lunch in Florence.
Kitchen at the agriturismo.
We had a nice kitchen in our apartment at the agriturismo and made one dinner there.
Vineyards near the agriturismo.
We learned to talk with our hands, since we didn’t know the language. This photo was taken in Lucca.
View of the vineyards from our bedroom at the agriturismo. We would certainly recommend the place we stayed, but we realized that there a lot of these in the area, and I’m sure many of them are as nice as this one.
This is the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence. It was the only bridge not blown up by the Germans as they were retreating from Italy in 1944.
It rained twice in 16 days. The first time was when we were taking the train from Rome to Chinqua Terra. The second was during a winery tour and wine-tasting. The wine tasting was very generous in quantity and quality, and included a superb lunch.
This is the terrace of Jim and Deb’s apartment at the agriturismo in Greve in Chianti.
We’re home! It seems odd that we woke up in Rome this morning and here we are now, in Chippewa Falls. It was a fabulous time, one I’m sure we’ll never forget. I’ll see if I can add some pix now that I’m using my own computer.
