Day Two - Paris
We slept in until 9:30 and so got a late start to our day. After breakfast at a little cafe, we went to the Orsay Museum and spent most of our time in the Impressionist area. I was impressed. From there to lunch at an outdoor cafe and then a wine festival at Montmartre, where there was just a crush of people. Surprisingly, we weren’t the only people who had heard about this festival. We had an early —by Parisisan standards — dinner around 9:00 and then went back to the area around the Eiffel Tower. It’s impressive at any time, but even more so at night. Back to the hotel about midnight.
It’s now 5:00 Sunday morning and our taxi should be here in 15 minutes to take us to Orly airport for the flight to Rome. Further details on our day yesterday will have to be added later, but suffice it to say it was another wonderful day.
